Designed by 46 year old Nic Case, this RC vehicle is capable of traveling at speeds of up to 161 miles per hour with Nic having aspirations of improving the top speed in this race car to 200 miles per hour.
At extreme speeds such as this, the RC car will need something more then 2 AA batteries as a fuel supply. You would think it would need something like rocket fuel but rather this car uses an 11 horsepower motor that requires a 12 cell battery pack normally found in hobby airplanes.
Handcrafted with a carbon-fiber chassis, build time was about 6 months while construction costs ran about $4000. To keep the car stable, the vehicle required oversized tires, a gyroscope-based steering-correction system and an all wheel drive system.
